Amen Gospel and 8th Day Entertainment form Strategic Alliance - To Distribute "Joi Marshall" (Formerly of the Platinum-R&B Group-Jade) WorldWide Via EMI Gospel

June 14, 2007. Atlanta. Atlanta-based Amen Gospel and Los Angeles-based 8th Day Entertainment announced today that they have entered into a multi-year Strategic Alliance. The terms of the Agreement provide generally that: Amen Gospel will distribute, as a part of its Agreement with EMI Gospel, 8th Day Entertainment Recording Artist: Joi Marshall. Joi Marshall's album titled "Testimony & Praise" is slated to to be released worldwide, via EMI Gospel, on September 25, 2007.

Joi's upcoming album tracks titled: "Victory", "House Divided" and "I Needed" are receiving airplay on FM and AM radio stations nationwide nearly 90-days prior to Joi's September 2007 planned album release. Joi will serve as the cornerstone of Amen Gospel's primary focus on Rhythm & Gospel Artists (R&G = "R&B Music Infused with Gospel").

About Joi Marshall:

Hailing from the south side of Chicago, IL., Joi Marshall grew up listening to Motown and R&B music, envisioning herself as the next Diana Ross. It was as a student at Holy Angels Catholic grade school, that she got her first opportunity to sing before an audience. “I was five years old and was asked to sing Brown Baby with Mahalia Jackson. All I remember is looking up at this powerful, spiritual woman and thinking how important she must have been because people were extraordinarily moved by her performance,” says Joi.

Witnessing first hand Mahalia’s ability to command an audience, Joi was convinced more than ever the she too was meant to sing professionally. After graduating high school she took a step towards her dream and moved to Los Angeles, believing that if there were any place she could make it as a singer it would be L.A.

In 1992, Joi was selected to become one of the three young singers to join Giant Records’ newly formed R&B group, Jade. The multi-platinum success of Jade afforded Joi the opportunity to travel the world performing in arenas and stadiums, and allowed her to experience live television performances on BET, MTV, Arsenio Hall, and British television’s “TOP of the POPs” to name a few.

Says Joi, “I believe that I must live the example of what I teach by doing what I’m supposed to do when I hear from God, be it to minister by teaching, writing books, songwriting or singing. It’s all a part of His purpose for my life.”
